THE FEATURE DOCUMENTARY LONG LIVE ROCK…CELEBRATE THE CHAOS ANNOUNCES THE BEGINNING OF PRINCIPAL PHOTOGRAPHY…

…AND THE FANS NOW HAVE A CHANCE TO BE A PART OF IT

With pop culture dominating the media headlines, the impression that rock is dead exists, but the new film Long Live Rock...Celebrate the Chaos will show a different side of it. The film is a deep dive into the loyal fandom of this often-misunderstood genre and culture. The interaction between this aggressive music genre and the powerful energy that is created for the fans is palpable.

features candid interviews with rock’s most influential artists, including members of Metallica, Guns N' Roses, Slipknot, Korn, Avenged Sevenfold, Rob Zombie, Five Finger Death Punch, Prophets of Rage, Greta Van Fleet, Halestorm, and many more.

The director of the film, Jonathan McHugh (Netflix's “Cosplay Universe”), had this to say about his desire to make this film:

“Growing up in Staten Island, NY as a kid sneaking into Madison Square Garden to see legends like Black Sabbath, KISS & Led Zeppelin, I knew there was only one type of music for me. When I grew up and got a job in the record promotion business in the early ‘90s, one of my first gigs was trying to get Metallica's ‘Enter Sandman’ on mainstream radio, which was a severe challenge due to the hard rock stereotype.

When we succeeded, I thought it had come full circle, but now getting the chance to make this film and tell these often-maligned fans’ stories is truly amazing for me.”

The film will follow passionate American rock fans as they put their lives on hold to reunite with their “rock family” at some of the greatest rock fests in the country.

Viewers will get a front row seat to see what makes the hard rock fan want to crowd surf, mix it up in the mosh pit, or just throw all caution to the wind and participate in the ultimate community mayhem...the “Wall of Death.” The dark side of rock will also be explored, as many artists and fans struggle and, ultimately, get taken way too early.

One of film’s producers (along with Jonathan Platt and Susan Munro), Gary Spivack considers the fans to be the backbone of rock ‘n’ roll.

“It only seems fitting to invite the fans to collaborate on the creation of what I see as a love letter to our favorite genre of music,” Spivack says.

Now, through PledgeMusic, fans have the unique opportunity to be a part of Long Live Rock...Celebrate the Chaos, with levels of support varying from simply being thanked in the end credits for their fandom all the way to becoming an Associate Producer on the film.

McHugh concludes, “Long Live Rock...Celebrate the Chaos will show why these fans are simply the best in the world. I’m so proud to be part of this beautiful madness and I really hope you - the true fan - will help support our mission to bring the hard rock culture back into the mainstream...just like it was when I was that kid sneaking into Madison Square Garden.”
