Nacional Records has announced the release of Diego Garcia's newest single, "She's Amazing,"
“She’s Amazing” was, like much of Diego’s previous work, inspired by his wife and muse, Laura. However, during the demo recording process, Diego’s involvement with Conservation International (a non-profit dedicated to protecting the Earth) inspired several changes to the song. He became inspired by the ultimate muse, Mother Nature. The time spent working to fight climate change and traveling across the Amazon rain forest showed Diego that “She’s Amazing” really is bigger than a lovers relationship. For Diego, it was incredibly important to capture the balance between woman/lover and Mother Nature in the song.
Diego Garcia was the former front-man for Elefant and went on to release a critically-acclaimed solo album called Laura. It was supported heavily at AAA, NPR, college radio, and across media as varied as Billboard to Elle and Vogue.
Born in Detroit, Diego draws from his Argentine-American roots and continues to explore his sound. It conjures the spirit of ‘70s troubadours like Jobim as well as singer-songwriters like Leonard Cohen and Harry Nilsson. His album Laura was named one of NPR and iTunes’s top albums of the year, and his single “You Were Never There” was a Starbucks “Pick of the Week."
