NOTEVAGUSTAR LAUNCHES "OTRAS CANCIONES". A NEW AUDIOVISUAL ALBUM CELEBRATING THEIR 25 YEA

To continue their celebration of 25 years as a band, the most important group in Uruguayan rock and one of the most popular in Latin America, NoTeVaGustar (NTVG), recorded an audiovisual piece where they revisited a good part of their musical career. In this new album titled Otras Canciones, their classic songs and those that do not necessarily get played in their countless shows, but that are fundamental pieces of their records, are reinterpreted in an intimate way using an acoustic instrumentation as base. It is available now in all the digital platforms.

Otras Canciones was filmed and recorded with state-of-the-art equipment, under the artistic production of Héctor Castillo (who has worked with David Bowie, Lou Reed, Gustavo Cerati and Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, among others) and with the participation of very special guests, including Julieta Venegas, Jorge Drexler, Draco Rosa, Catalina García (Monsieur Periné), Flor de Toloache and Hugo Fattoruso.

NoTeVaGustar was founded in Montevideo, Uruguay, in 1994 when an Uruguayan, an Argentinean and a Mexican crossed their destinies. The band is formed by Emiliano Brancciari (vocals and guitar), Martin Gil (trumpet), Gonzalo Castex (percussion), Denis Ramos (trombone), Mauricio Ortiz (sax), Diego Bartaburu (drums), Pablo Coniberti (guitar), Guzman Silveira (bass) and Francisco Nasser (keyboards).

Since then, they have received seven Latin Grammy nominations, including Best Rock Album in the latest awards edition for their album Suenan Las Alarmas. They boast a total of nine studio albums, all of which have been certified Gold or Platinum in Uruguay and Argentina, including: Sólo de noche (1999), Este fuerte viento que sopla (2002), Aunque cueste ver el sol (2004), Todo es tan inflamable (2006), El camino más largo (2008), Por lo menos hoy (2010), El calor del pleno invierno (2012), El tiempo otra vez avanza (2014) and Suenan las alarmas (2017), four live albums: MVD (2005), TaN (2007), Público (2012), NTVG en vivo - Buenos Aires (2014), a special reissue: Sólo de día (2009), and a film: "El Verano Siguiente" (2014).

The audiovisual album Otras Canciones is thought of as a good summary of what is the essence of NoTeVaGustar- being released in parallel to the band's biographical book titled "Memorias del Olvido"- and as a starting point for what is yet to come.
